My thanks to all of you for your prayers and well wishes. Grandma is holding her own. She was actually flirting a bit with her nurse today - she has good taste as he was really cute. The memorial will go on as scheduled tomorrow. I just don't think she is strong enough to face that even if we postpone it.
I got in the car after visiting her today and The James Gang came on the radio - loud. And it finally struck me that David is dead. David of the beautiful blue eyes and long blond curls - the star spangled Volkswagen and the love of loud music - the gentle guy of few words - he's dead. So, I sobbed most of the way home. Hope that means that I can be more than strong tomorrow for my sons.
