This is our new church. It is much more modern than I am used to, in a good way. We will officially join next Sunday by letter of transfer. Presbyterians are very formal about so many things. One thing that I enjoy is that our pastor, instead of standing behind a pulpit, sits in a chair with a table beside him. He rarely looks at his notes. It gives me the feeling of sitting there in God's living room with this really nice guy up front that makes no claims on being perfect. He only claims to try, just like I do. I'm getting used to a new style of worship. I do have to say that this old Presbyterian secretary misses the liturgy.

Well the modern churches certainly have the more upbeat music….it’s what’s needed now to attract the young ones! The stained glass is gorgeous! Hope you settle in with your new church family as if you’ve always belonged.
Lovely....we grow into the familiar so easily and takes time to feel at home in new settings. I like 'no notes' preachers! They seem so authentic and thoroughly passionate about the message. And I like the sitting room concept. Enjoy the new journey. 🙏😊
