My thanks to anyone who has taken the time to comment lately.
First dusting of the season in Mason. I sort of got a snowflake - but it was cold out there and I'm too impatient to hang out in it. Yesterday I was out without a jacket but we seem to be in the 40's for the foreseeable future.
I'm shooting something later that scares me - but I've heard that is the only way to grow as a photographer. A friend from church asked me to shoot her daughter's reception for the folks here in Cincinnati that didn't get to go to the Boston wedding. I have stuck to my guns about not shooting people until just lately. It worries me that it will be indoors and I don't have any fancy lighting setup. Nor am I buying any. I explained that to her so I hope she will be happy. I told her no charge - my gift was the photography. I'll let you know what happens.
Shooting snowflakes is not easy! You’ve done a remarkable job of capturing the shape and some of the details with this photo!
Based on the other photography that I have seen you do I don’t know why you’re so worried about shooting people. Follow your instincts and you will do a remarkable job.
A big responsibility Cathy but try not to worry, they know your position & really you are doing them a massive favour, photographers here in the UK are very expensive! Yours will be lovely & personal. Snow will make the light different!
Good luck for your wedding assignment. As for myself, I wouldn't have dared taking a challenge like that. Beautiful close-up shot here. With pictures like this the wedding photos will be a big success.
