Honey Bee by corinnec

Honey Bee

Under our deck, they go back and forth. They don't 'bug' us and we leave them alone. They are such gracious insects.
Ah I’m glad you don’t try to eradicate them

Nice capture! Not sure it's a bee though.

Very cool on the white wall. Pretty sure that’s a hornet though. If they’re leaving you alone that’s great. You won’t enjoy them when they’re angry.

I kind of agree with the others. Looks like a wasp.

@marlboromaam @ljmanning @randystreat @jgpittenger You might be correct. I thought they were bees because of the pattern on their back but their narrow waist and dangling legs make be think that they may be wasps :-( So far so good but if we have a nest under the porch we may have to relocate them???

@tinley23 I'd be so sad if we were harming them :-)

@corinnec Unlike bees, I don't think wasps are endangered. I wouldn't worry very much about them, but they can hurt you, your family, and your critters.

@marlboromaam Our pest exterminator is coming too. She'll tell me what to do. They are awesome and when possible relocate (rattlesnake) or repel (spiders).

@corinnec That's a good thing. =) They build inside my chimney and come out in the house through a crack in the flew. I am equipped with wasp spray.
