To capture the inside of the covered bridge I had to overexpose the scenery at the end of the bridge. I didn't like the result when I modified the exposure of just the overexposed part. Switching it to black and white was a slightly better solution. Not my favorite yet.
Your Canon R6 offers auto exposure bracketing (AEB) which will result in 3 images captured at different exposures which can then be merged in Lightroom into a single image of much greater dynamic range. The merged image can then be tweaked to your liking. It is very easy to do. Just take care to avoid an unnatural look in the finished image. If you don't have Lightroom the R6 also has HDR mode which will take three images and combine them in camera into a blended jpg image. Bear in mind that I haven't used an R6 so I have no idea how well this mode works but it is certainly worth a try.
