My sweet Shoney was at the vet for a routine exam. Just before entering the clinic she was attacked by a dog, unleashed and exiting the building. Fortunately neither her or me were hurt. I was simply upset that her owner let her free when obviously her pup is aggressive to other dogs.
Shoney was on a leash and just getting out of the car. The other dog came running to attack her😔.
the attack on honey is a disgrace Corinne , we should all be responsible dog owners , I get really annoyed by people who let uncontrollable dogs off the lead . Stay safe and and keep alert when out and about
@radiogirl Thank you. Shoney is much better but it was traumatic for both of us. It's the second time I faced a charging, aggressive dog. The first time I had a walking stick and I was able to scare the dog but today I was empty handed. Fortunately the owner was able to grab her dog pretty quickly.
@phil_howcroft Thanks Phil. The amazing thing is that the attacking dog ran behind multiple parked cars to attack Shoney. We were not at all close to her!
I hope you made the Vet's office aware of what that dog owner did-- because if anything happened they would have been responsible too. They may not want irresponsible clients either! I like the low pov here, and hope your nerves are calmer now.
There should be a sign, Pet owners are responsible for any injuries or damage that their pets inflict. Glad to hear that Honey is okay but that other pet parent should be responsible for any costs for her care.
I hope you and Shoney are recuperating ❤️🩹, so traumatic!
