Another scrum!

Another gathering of bovver boys. They are the loudest, quarrelsome , quirky birds and I love them. They have individual characters and I could watch them for ages! This group were fighting, bathing, preening and sheltering from the cold wind.

They are interesting and attractive birds, and if you see a murmuration it is spectacular. At one time they used to gather under Lendal Bridge in York, and then start flying out from onee side, over the bridge and it's traffic and back under the other side of the bridge. A spectacular moving tunnel. Sadly I never got a photo, and then the council took action to move them on!.
