Simple Things

Today was a wonderful day. Not only was the weather almost perfect for this time of the year, but my Wife and I had a great time at an estate auction. It is something we love to do, and we were lucky enough to find several nice items that we bid on and won. My Wife and I enjoy collecting antiques, nothing real expensive, but certain things just stand out and call your name. She was tickled to be the winning bidder on two old tie quilts, and I was happy to be the winning bidder on several old pieces of carnival glass as well as a beautiful old child's rocker. If anything, it was an enjoyable time the two of us shared together, doing what we enjoy. The simple things in life mean so much. The items we purchased, $113.00. The time we shared together, "priceless."

You are right. A lot of pleasure and beauty can be found in simple things. This photo is a beautiful image of that. Simple but makes great composition and great colors (Red and green, being complimentary colors. Make it a little tense. Very nice.
