This is one of my journals. I have two right now that I am working on for the kids. Life is full of little moments that you tend to forget through the years, and journaling is one way to keep them for later. There is so much about my family that I do not know, so I thought it would be a neat way to capture life, so our Children can enjoy reading about it later in life. It is leather bound, and I love the texture and design, so I figured I would include it in this week's theme.
great shot - love the colours and I love the idea. I buy so many different types of journals wanting to document life for my girls but then I never really want to write in the journals because they are too nice - does this make sense :) I will leave them each a copy of my book I am going to make with my Project 365 pictures.
What a wonderful gift you are creating for your family. They will be forever grateful. And the pleasure they will get will be enhanced by the lovely feel of this fine leather.
This is so beautiful, Rick!! I love the oriental design! It's so wonderful that you are doing a journal for your children! I am sure they are going to appreciate it a lot! It's always good to have a connection to the past, and the family memories are so precious!
Great nice idea, I remember things from years ago, when i was just a very little kid, and my mother she tells me stories from 50 years ago with so much details.
Also great shot.
PS. i laughed with your comment today, that was funny.
Such a wonderful photo....as I can almost feel the memories associated with the journal.
Journaling is so important. After Chris's father died, Chris took his father's simple journals and read them over and over again. They didn't record much, just a sentence or two, yet that was enough to give Chris time to visit with his past. Your children will feel the same....
A gorgeous journal Rick...I have boxes and boxes of them, I have kept journals and written in them nearly every day since I was 11....it's so funny to go back and randomly open a page every now and then...journaling is one thing that helps me keep my sanity and I hope my kids etc get a kick out of reading them one day too :)
You have a beautiful heart Rick, to be thinking of leaving something for your Children to read. Will you nominate a custodian for these wonderful words of your Journals, or leave it for them to fight it out, what an awful thought.

I love your picture. The color and focus is great. I need a better looking journal now. :-)
Also great shot.

The focus is so intricately done, so pretty.
