On this Thanksgiving Day, and every day we should take just a few moments to reflect and give thanks for what we have been blessed with. There are so many things we take for granted, but as we look around, witnessing the less fortunate, hearing about others who are sufferring with physical and / or emotional pain, we want to remember them as well. We need to reach out to them and offer them our help when it is possible to do so. We need to be willing to offer emotional support, to stand with them as they struggle through their difficulties. We need to be their friend. This project does that every day. I think about this project, and I cannot help but be amazed at how such a group of people can experience this sense of friendship and support. As I looked at this basket and noticed how it had been woven together, I couldn't help but think of how each and everyone of our lives somehow touches the other. In the kind words that are shared, the funny comments and joking, it all helps to impact the meaning of friendship, and how powerful such acts of kindness are. So today I want to say thank you to everyone of my friends here on 365 for making me feel so welcome. It is really cool that these feelings can be experienced, even across the world, and in spite of all our differences. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving,
You should have been a writer, Rick :) Wonderful kind and thoughtful words, you put it perfectly. I hope you and yours had a very Happy Thanksgiving. Talk to ya later.....
Thank you Rick, and I also want to thank you for your constant flow of inspiring words and pictures. I trust you and yours had a wonderful Thanksgiving, have a great day tomorrow. I will find out the results of my sons facial injuries tomorrow, pray nothing is broken.
And that is a beautiful picture to symbolize what you wrote about and great for the texture theme.
I'm definitely thankful for you and all of the other 365 members. You always take the time to leave a kind comment. I appreciate you, Rick, and I do feel that our lives have become woven together thru this project. I've never experienced anything like it before and I think it's very special. Very meaningful photo... :-)
Rick, Thank you . You take some awesome photos and always have a nice word to say. or funny and I for one appreciate that, more than you can know..
Take care friend.. xxooxox
Rick-this is awesome! You put in words so perfectly how I feel about this project! Love the shot you chose to go with it....very symbolic! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!! :)
Wishing I had more than a few minutes to enjoy pictures here on 365, but I get the gist of your message and agree thatthis is a wonderful time to reflect on our blessings in life and to be thanklful for the friendships we all share, even if they're just virtual ones. Wishing you the many blessings of this season. Love from Lucca, Italy...Ken and Louise
Beautiful textures! And agreed... (Yes, the kitchen aide is a great gift, but I'm not sure home appliances are very romantic gifts... so, maybe the kindle is better? Mine was a discontinued model, so we got it for pretty cheap. If you are the type who likes to look around, find one that is on the shelf as the store model, but that doesn't have any more in stock, you can sometimes negotiate the price down since it's been touched and out of box. Re the dogs... Both have German Shepherd, but Hilda has some other stuff too... there has to be something from the spitz family (bushy curled tail) and there is a possibility that she has a bit of wolf or coyote in her, although wolf would be more common. She doesn't bark, but yodels/howels, and is very smart, but stubborn. She jumps the 6 foot fence with ease even though she is classified as a medium built dog. She's a submissive (if in a pack) which is good because she is constantly eager to please. Ranger's mother is a belgian malinois and his father is a black german shepherd. He was the result of an accidental litter between a police dog and the trainers dog. He's so lovable and sweet, but still likes to chew on stuff and doesn't realize how large he actually is.)
Above the comments are all what is going through my mind too, but if i had to write something Profound we could be here till Christmas. So to You and you wife and family I hope you have had (by now I'm very late) a
wonderful and meaningful Thanksgiving. I'd like to add "In your golden chain of Friendships - please regard me as a link".
