Live music speaks to my soul......how about you..?! If so, show me your music - be it sheet music, musical instrument, or live performance. Here are a few of my favs:
an old piano in an abandoned house near Seattle - i almost wept for it....
a water drum for sale at Folklife Festival in Seattle
@agavegirl13 nice portrait and close-up....i tried to learn how to fiddle once...and since then have had a whole new appreciation for how temperamental that instrument can be!
@sticksandstones Jenny, the group was the SCA, a historical recreation group that studies the middle ages and renaissance. The event was a coronation of a new King and Queen. The troubadour is singing to the queen as she arrives to be crowned.
@jantan love this......this seems like that frustrated feeling you get when you try the same part over and over and over again....and just can't get it right!
All the way back to January...one of my first shots on here (I like to think I have upped my game since) This is my step mother who is a flute player with a symphony orchestra playing for my girls one eveing.
Love your topic of discussion. Music speaks to my soul! In fact, I am on my second year of my project and every photo that I have taken has a song title/artist that goes along with that photo. Here is one of my more music related photos though...
@skg40 thanks....i think it is true for a lot of people, especially us artistic-leaning folks. Your second year sounds challenging....i'll have to check it out!
@msk1p2 awesome - i like them both for different reasons - the first one is technical....what with the light show and all that going on - - the second one for the tormented artist-type mood it conveys....great job
@peadar awesome.......and i love the close-up shot......from the valves i would guess....flute..?....and lol.....love that joyful feelin in the last one
@maaikel thanks for bringin the international vibe to the thread! your shots are always so inspiring...no matter the content - - but i love the action you caught in the Korean dance one!
@tulipgirl so cool that you have a musical family. i really really love the lighting in both these shots....plus the reflections off the trombone are really brilliant!
@sticksandstones Jenny, thank you SO MUCH for starting this lovely thread. . .and the very fact that you have taken the time to comment really moves me. . .another fine example of what 365 is about in its BEST form!
