...you all have accents when I read your comments on my shots...hahaha
I "hear" your voices as I read what you have written. But one voice had to change yesterday as I had always thought they were English, like proper Queens English....found out this person is in Scotland! HAHA Now they have a Scottish accent. Happy St. Andrews Day Sarah Bremner @sarah19
That made me smile. I wonder what you would make of my accent. Born in Yorkshire Uk, lived in New Zealand for 20 years. Scottish father, Geordie (NE England) mother
@yorkshirekiwi You must be a wonderful pot pouring of accents! How delicious. I moved around a lot too and am somewhat of a mimic where accents are concerned. Not certain what dominates these days, though it is no doubt enhanced by wherever I currently live!
@huvesaker That is so funny, you might have your difficulties with mine too! Born in South Africa, married a German in Germany, lived in Japan for 10 years, went back to Germany for 20 years, now back in SA since 10 years and speak all languages :-)
Well I am from Lincolnshire and I aint got no accent and never ave ad un. Ha ha Relatives say I speak more with a London accent now having lived in Peterborough for 50 years.
I wish I could do that but I'm not very good about mimicking foreign accents. One mistake people naturally make about a person such as myself who grew up in New Jersey USA is that we all sound like we came from Brooklyn NY or Jersey City (which has a similar accent). Not true! I did have a really fun conversation though many years ago (in my high school days) with a young boy in West Virginia. A friend and I were staying with his family and one morning he told us we had a very funny accent. We said, "No- you have the accent!" at which a lengthy discussion took place as to who really had one centered around the pronunciation of c-o-f-f-e-e, whether it's soda or pop, and whether or not to say "you", "y'all" or "you all". In the end and after much laughter we decided we all had one!
LOVE that you brought this up, Boo! For a long time now I've thought what fun it would be to post a clip where we're speaking! Without thinking about that specifically, I posted one a few years back where I was talking to "my squirrel" in the yard. One of the comments was, "Now I know what you sound like!" ...maybe something to think about after the first of the year when we're not about to get weighed down with all the holiday activities! (Wishing everyone a Happy New Year, perhaps!)
@Weezilou That made me laugh because one of the running jokes my best friend and I have is that we both think the other is incapable of properly saying the word "squirrel!" I am an American, raised for half my childhood in Texas, half in Colorado. I have spent my adult life moving all over the world and tend to pick up the accents of the people around me...but I won't budge on squirrel! Hahahaha!
@yorkshirekiwi hahaha my poor head now has a mixture of accents in it! @casablanca it is funny but how a person looks will "give" them an accent in my head as well..haha @ludwigsdiana in my head you have a South African accent now :-) @anniesue hahaha funny! @30pics4jackiesdiamond mwah ha ha...totally confused in my head now! @wendyfrost hehe hehe @olivetreeann and I did the same...I have seen Cake Boss and you sounded like him...can't remember his name...haha sorry! Why you sounded like a guy in my head I have no idea @Weezilou haha I am only glad it isn't just me that gives voices to people...um..and to things...hahaha @evalieutionspics and now I am saying Squirrel in about 10 different ways...haha thank you!
