My choice for October is this foggy morning on the St. Lawrence River

It was a wonderful getaway, and sipping coffee in the early morning quiet while watching the light play on the water is one of my absolute favourite things.

What’s your October fave?

A composite from a splashing time at camera club

I never tire of trying to get a good picture of the statue in the flooded crypt. Maybe next time?

The sun was shining, the sky was clear, the sails were beautiful

I am behind on my uploads so I could be forgetting something, but I think this is my fave October shot. I love the Northern Lights and although I'd seen them a couple of times before, I hadn't seen them from home. Of course, when it did happen it was at a time when I couldn't use my actual camera, so I was just really glad my phone was able to capture it!

@30pics4jackiesdiamond An excellent splash! (Still have no idea how you did that) Love the crypt reflections.

@zilli A vibrant harbour scene, and beautiful art.

@princessjessica Such a special treat! Beautifully captured.

My choice for this month is this little sparrow sitting on a fence post at the community garden. I love the way this little bird, looking so perky, stands out against the soft background and because I was using a Canon lens which wouldn't auto focus on my Sony camera and it felt like an accomplishment to get this active little bird in focus.

A sad and extreme event, but I was on the spot just before they closed the road to take this photo. A good journalism photo for me
