Many thanks for the accolades and support. This particular challenge meant a lot to me because I was a fan of hers in my 20's when I discovered her art. I think of her often when taking photos of flowers and think "what would Georgia do."
@koalagardens Thank you so much. I really enjoyed this challenge. I use my iPhone for all my photos and I have a phone app that I use sometimes called PicsArt. It has an option under "effects", then choose "artistic", then "oil painting" that changes the photo just enough to make a difference between looking like a photo and piece of art. Enjoy! :)
@louannwarren Thank you, LouAnn! This win is very special to me as you know. We share a love for Georgia O'Keeffe and every once in awhile I channel her or she is channeling me to keep her spirit alive. I am still in disbelief that she had not been a chosen artist before! I am excited about choosing the next artist challenge and I hope there will be a lot of participation. :)
@gardenfolk Congratulations CC! It's a beautiful rendition of something she would do. I do think we had her a long time ago- probably before we started keeping a list because it's in the back of my mind that I did an artist challenge early on and she was the selected artist. But I don't remember the year.

Thank you ladies. In my usual manner, I just went ahead and did what I wanted to; since I didn’t remember an O’Keeffe challenge, I went with her. I’m glad she wasn’t in anyone's recent memory when I chose her. I almost think we could have an ongoing O’Keeffe challenge, so many 365er’s participated in the challenge. @summerfield, thank you for the artist’s list! The Artist’s Challenge is a great exercise for all of us, I sure enjoyed the Natalie Navratilova challenge, she was a great artist too.
@louannwarren I think that's perfectly fine. Some artists deserve more than one- especially someone like O'Keeffe whose paintings are very adaptable to photography!
@louannwarren - oh, but that was back in 2012. and as you can see, a few of the artists/photographers had been featured a second time. it's the first challenge i dared to participate in; it's my most favourite challenge and i always try to, put in an entry.
i'm looking forward to CC's @gardenfolk challenge.
@gardenfolk thanks so much for telling how you did it - sounds easy, I am going to try a bit more phone photography in the garden just to test that out myself!

@olivetreeann Turns out she was the artist challenge in 2012, but I was not posting until 2017 and neither was LouAnn. Georgia deserved a second go round. :)
