More sweets today.

These are just a few jars of sweets at the 'Card Collection' shop in East Molesey. Julia the owner stocks my cards at both her Teddington and Molesey branches and I came over to assist with sampling her new range of Belgian chocolates and sweets (it was a tough job but someone had to do it!).

Here's a few names from the past that are on the shelves… lemon and strawberry sherbets, sherbet pips, pineapple chunks, sweet peanuts, pink shrimps, bananas, fruit salads, black jacks, flying saucers, pear drops, aniseed balls, liquorice laces, parma violets, lovehearts, fizzy cola bottles, coconut mushrooms, chocolate limes, milk bottles, fried eggs, bonbons, fizzy strawberries, rainbow crystals, jelly beans, sweet tobacco, snows, jazzies, small cherry lips… to name but a few.

Stirring up any memories yet?
Lovely shot.

Oooh! Takes me right back to my childhood. Were there any Victory Vees or Sherbet flying saucers?

Lovely pov in this mouth-watering shot! So sorry you had that difficult chore of sampling the new sweets and chocolates--but I;m sure you were brave and determined and saw it through! :)
