I. Am. Gutted. The Tories are back in with a working majority so Brexit will almost definitely happen and in the phrase of Dads Army ‘We’re all doomed’. I think the 3.5 years of nothing happening, frustration at Jeremy Corbyn and peoples refusal to see the lies and concealment in front of their own eyes has led to this. What a massive, massive mess. Lets hope I’m wrong but if not, I want all those responsible to be held to account in the next few years.

On another note… This morning Colin had his annual golf tournament with friends organised and despite last nights rain, the course remained open. He took my special mince pies to start off with and then he had a large Christmas lunch organised by me at Brouge near the club. During his absence I continued with a bit of shopping locally, delivered remains of my cake to John and Mick in the garage and also to Roy in the card shop.

In the afternoon I sat down and managed to write nearly 40 Christmas cards which I felt was a bit achievement, they are now sat in a pile ready for signing by Colin. I got my text at 4.30 to come and collect Colin and the car and in the event I dropped two others off home as well. It sounded like all had gone well and the food was exceptional good. We must make an effort to use our 20% off voucher and go in January!

Later in the evening I bit the bullet and started washing up the 200+ pieces of cutlery that were used at last nights photo club function. I did not mean to do the entire lot but it was actually quicker than I had expected so I did the lot and dried and polished it as well - nothing missing at all this year!

Here’s a photo of our Christmas tree this year, rather narrower than usual but a good traditional shape with all our travel ornaments from around the world including my new glass thing from Amsterdam.
