16th May 2021

1 year, 51 days since the start of the 1st lock down in March 2020

The news is that the Indian variant of Covid 19 is continuing to spread in certain pales in the UK. The good news is that it does not seem to be any more serious than the other strains and people who have been vaccinated have protection against it. However, there are a number of people who have not been vaccinated which are causing the rates to rise quickly - watch this space for a progress report!

Good news is that having been sent an invite to book a second vaccination closer to home, suitable dates suddenly became available and my new date is at the Greenwood Centre on Saturday week at 10.30pm. This is just under 10 weeks since my first and I finally managed to cancel the one booked at Sandown race course - a mass vaccination centre - to free it up for someone else.

Later in the afternoon as it was raining so hard, I drove to Tescos for a bit of shopping so Colin can cook his speciality of Spanish chicken for dinner this evening.

This is a photo of the bramble plant and the buds of flowers which will produce another crop of blackberries in a couple of months. We are still working our way through the past two years crop!
