1 year, 252 days since the start of the 1st lock down in March 2020
Today I wrapped Sophies birthday presents ready to be sent on Monday. It turns out that unbelievably she will be staying at Mum’s from the 19th until the 29th of December - Mum is going to be shattered so I guess it is up to Hester and myself to take responsibility for some meals so Mum can have a rest. I also wrapped Sarah, Patrick, Izzy and Lillie’s presents as I am not exactly clear when I will be able to pop over and deliver them.
The news of the day is that Ian (Colin’s son in law) has caught Covid. This is the second time he has caught it, the second time that James caught is earlier in the month and the first time Karen has caught it so 5 times in a 4-person household. Despite the regular testing, the prevention is obviously the weak area! This throws our plans of visiting over Christmas into doubt so we need to think of a Plan B.
At 12.00 sharp I enjoyed a double Zoom session with old college friends around the country including Ek in Thailand! It’s nice to catch up on news from around the world in fact.
In the evening I bought down the table I use for craft fairs, we we made a good start on writing the Christmas cards as well. Everything going well to schedule.
