The trouble with film is that I sometimes get the exposure wrong and I don't have the digital exif data to do better next time. At a photo class before digital, the instructor had us write down the exposure of each shot.
Very much like this. The remnants of the beaded rail along the top of the porch gives a clue to how it must have looked in its prime. I can remember having my tiny notebook that had I used for my settings but I've gotten lazy with age.
