Keeping Cool

I went to check on the painted turtles today at Tunxis Pond. There were only a few visible, including this one, who was half submerged to stay cool.

Love this - at least you still have some water in your pond. Like the way you caught him partly submerged .

@milaniet This is a big pond -- 4 acres -- in the next town over. We have had a fair amount of rain this season, so things are lush, ponds are full and plants are tall.
