We have never seen a nesting Bald Eagle in our town until this Spring, and we have lived here for 23 years. There are some about 20 miles north of us on the CT River. I do not have a lens longer than 300mm, so this is about as good a shot as I am going to get. A picture of him flying in my main album.
Cool! If all goes well your two eagles will use the same nest for 15 to 20 years. We have a nest on our lake in northern Minnesota which was occupied for over 20 years till the pine tree blew down in a storm.
That is so exciting! And reading that they may come back there each year is great. You need to borrow that new camera of mine - wish I was closer! This is a great shot from that high. Impressed!
