Okay - this shot was taken on Sunday the 17th but put in this slot since this word of the month belongs here.
This shot also works for my get pushed challenge set by Rob Z @robz who asked that I learn a new edit from a program I am using.
Lightroom is proving to be a great program. I was able to seamlessly go through about 250 shots I took today at the girls hockey tournament to weed out the junk to about ten of the better shots.
Here is how the work flow went:
1 - I tweaked one shot to get the exposure correct, adjust white balance, etc. I then set that adjustment as a preset, and applied it to all shots.
2 - All adjusted photos are in a grid view where you can flag the obvious garbage, and then delete at once which brought my choices down to about 40 photos.
3 - I was then able to set the remaining photos on a star rating which then really narrowed down my favourites to six.
This shot is one of those six ... I don't think I could choose an absolute favourite out of them all though. I liked the sense of movement in this one.
Here is one of my shots, Rob @robz. Lightroom will save me a ton of time once I get the work flow down - and I am getting more and more comfortable with it all the time.
Oh- I found this shot again!! Sorry about that Wendy - I couldn't find it before in the thumbnail shots. This one is a beauty too - for that wonderful sense of motion and action. The other one does have a great story though! Thanks again for outlining all of your editing steps - it is so interesting! Cheers Rob
