Sunflowers are the happiest flowers that I know of.
I doubt that there is a single person who can look at a sunflower without smiling
My garden has a dozen volunteer sunflowers that are growing from seeds dropped by birds or squirrels. They are not doing any harm so I let them be. They will feed the birds this winter and probably propagate more sunflowers again next year!
