Oldest Building in Woodhouse, Sheffield?

I have been visiting my parents again and took this shot of what is supposed to be the oldest building in Woodhouse. When I was younger it was called The Cross Daggers and the upstairs room was the scene of many a celebration.

The date 1658 is above the door and legend says Oliver Cromwell and his supporters visited there.

Interesting old house. Nice to be reminded of the Sheffield stone, which I haven't seen for a few years now.

That is a pretty old building and from the looks of it they kept in good shape.

Cool building. One doesn't find buildings that old in the US without really looking hard on the east coast.

Great capture of that old structure, it is incredible that it has withstood the ravages of all that time.

@dolphin There are some nice cottages made of the stone that I will have to try and capture. There were too many strange shadows the other day. katharine

@gamelee Thanks Lee. I think the information is rather sparse until the research on the centre of Woodhouse has finished. Katharine
