Lego Star Wars Cake by fishers

Lego Star Wars Cake

This week was my son's 6th Birthday. All he wanted was a lego star wars birthday cake, unfortunately I could not find one to buy so embarked on the task of making one myself. This photo is the end result. I cheated a bit with the cakes as these were bought cake bars, but all the little people are made from icing. The main thing was that my son and his friends were impressed so that was good enough for me!
The Jedi Characters on the left are: Luke Skywalker, Yoda, Han Solo and Obi wan Kenobi. The Sith on the right are: Darth Maul, Darth Vader, Asajj Ventress, Chancellor palpatine

Wow that is amazing. you made the figures of icing sugar..reminds me of the candy house we used to make when our children and grandchildren were small. they would get it on Dec.6 and were allowed to pick some candies off until Christmas Day. I'll see if I can find the posting of one and send you the link.

@monkeykid Thank you very much. I did have a bit of help from a very basic lego person mould, however it still took a fair amount of time, and a lot of internet searching to find out what the characters looked like! Thank you very much for the Fav! - Louise

@bruni Thank you very much Bruni, I had to use the ready roll icing to get it to set properly so I could paint it with food colouring, I would be very interested to see a candy house, hopefully they will appear closer to December 6th - Louise

@fishers Louise, did you get my comment where I sent you the link? btw Dec. 6 is St. Nicholas Day in Germany and us kids would get some candy that day..I brought the tradition with me when I immigrated to the US and like I said my children and later the grandchildren received a home made candy house on that day. it's like a Christmas calendar, one candy per day. although there were a lot more candies on than 31 for the month of December.

@bruni Sorry Bruni, I haven't been able to get on the internet all day but I have seen your comment above. Thank you for reposting the link, that candy house looks amazing! I have several friends that celebrate St Nicholas Day on 6th December, the candy house seems like a great idea in which to count down the days! - Louise
