Yorkshire Man of Steel (prototype), Sheffield

The Man of Steel appeared in the ticket hall of Sheffield Railway Station a couple of weeks ago. This was my first opportunity to get a clear shot of him as he is normally surrounded by various fundraisers.

I did my research and found he was a scaled, prototype sculpture planned as a gateway to Sheffield. He will eventually be made of Stainless Steel and the whole thing will stand 30 metres high.
