I couldn't help noticing this empty bench outside of the remains of a medieval hospital here in York. With the glorious sunshine, it looks like the perfect place to sit and ponder life, the universe, and everything.
"St Leonard's Hospital, in the Museum Gardens in York, was the largest medieval hospital in England and cared for the infirm and ill of the city. It also fed the poor, and the condemned, providing meals for the prisoners in York Castle.
Only the undercroft remains, and this is it's south-western wall."
