Well, there you go, our secret is out - we have been stockpiling!
We have purchased occasional selections of books from The Book People for quite a few years. They have a limited range of products but at a reduced price. Recently the company got into financial difficulties and is in the process of disposing of stock as it closes down. We took advantage of their generous discounts and the box of books arrived just before the recent fuss about stockpiling.

To be perfectly honest Katharine and I have always stockpiled books. The closure of the Book People gave us the opportunity to buy a selection of books by authors we are not too familiar with, so it should be interesting to get to know them during the current emergency.
Thank you both. Books are like close friends. I do try to rationalise the collection sometimes, but then I find a long lost book and start reading it, and that is the end of sorting!
