Another shot from the flower festival at All Saints Church, North Street in York. This time the theme is clear, with the bell ropes and pulley displayed between two selections of flowers clearly shouting bellringers.
Close by were a set of brightly coloured hand bells which were available for visitors to have a go. I resisted the temptation - my musical skill is restricted to selecting and playing a cd!
It was a bit of a challenge to take photos of the displays on the south side of the church, with the sun shining through these windows. I have edited this rather more than I usually do to make the flowers and pulley system more visible.
Thank you all for your lovely comments and favs, they are very much appreciated.
The students of Askham Bryan college had done a wonderful job creating their displays. A lot of work had gone into them, and there were students there to regularly spray the flowers. The festival was on for four displays, so keeping them looking fresh and attractive was in itself a major task.
