Yes, it's Christmas Eve today for many people in Eastern Europe, so we have another chance to enjoy celebrating again, since Katharine's dad was Ukrainian. Not that the people of Ukraine have much to celebrate this Christmas as the Russian invasion continues to bring pain, suffering and destruction to Ukraine.
This isn't my photo. It arrived embeded in an electronic document from a Ukrainian Catholic bishop who is related to Katharine. I couldn't resist including this lovely nativity scene in our project.
Beautiful Nativity scene. So painful to see what is happening in Ukraine. My prayers for these people who have had their life completely destroyed and whatever happens in the future they have to build their lives from the beginning.
Thank you all for your lovely comments and favs, they are very much appreciated.
It was good to hear from Katharine's relatives that they are all surviving the horrors of the Russian invasion. It is terrible to think of the horrors of modern warfare rearing their ugly head again. Hopefully it will all be over quite soon, and Ukraine will maintain it's independance.
Wish the believes was more like they live too.

Thank you Nina. Katharine was fortunate to visit Ukraine a few years ago with her family and she found it a wonderful place.
