Sutton Bank is the highest of the Hambelton Hills and has many spectacular view. This takes in Gormire Lake a place of much superstition and myth. On a lovely sunny day they seem irrelevant but on a windy dull day the lake looks as menacing as the stories say. One myth is that the devil has a gateway to Hell in the lake!
Its a while since I have had a walk around the Lake, the thought of climbing back up to Sutton Bank puts me off, lots of steps and slopes.
Thank you for all your lovely comments and favs. The views are superb and on a fine day Sutton Bank is very busy. Less busy when I took this as it was very blustery.
