@yogiw I didn't know until I did some research that my two Magnolia Trees are different varieties...a Saucer Magnolia and Ann Magnolia. This bloom is the Ann.
I've photographed flowers all day, and this is a good example as to how I could just keep going! I haven't gotten one of these beauties *yet* but, if they're in bloom, I know where to look for one up here! This is gorgeous, and I love the way you looked into it!
@Weezilou My trees have been prolific this year...maybe it was all the extra rain but I have a bumper crop of Magnolia blossoms and almost as many photos! I think 365 has helped me to better see and enjoy my surroundings by making me more aware of the beauty all around us! Photos are a simple appreciation of life.
I couldn't agree more that "framing a photo" brings greater appreciation for what you see! I DID go out to see the tree on campus in the hope of photographing some blooms, but thus far...there was ONE. So I photographed it!
We'll return in a month for Dylan's birthday and again for the Parent's Weekend festivities, so the tree should be looking fabulous!
