My home it was my Mother
within her Heart I lived

Happy Mother's Day! This is a photo of one of my favorite homes in Sacramento, California. It reminds me of storybooks with "happily ever after endings". It reminds me of my wonderful childhood, lucky to grow up in Pacific Palisades and receive a horse for my 13th birthday. And, it reminds me of my dearly departed sweet mom who passed in 2005. I miss her...
@wendyfrost Many thanks Wendy. Sorry to hear of your loss. It is an emotional time for you. I remember...I lost both my father and mother the same year as well as my mother in law. A sad time. Take good care of yourself.
@carole_sandford I guess so! I have to get use to it being Autumn is Australia and Thanksgiving is celebrated on a different day in Canada. You forget things are not the same everywhere!
@Weezilou Same to you Louise! I spent yesterday with the grandboys and got a hug from my son when he came home from work. Today was a stay home relaxing day with the fur babies...beautiful perfect weather!
@gardenfolk Sounds like MY day, too! Yesterday was the party, calls from my girls and grands this morning, and then I sat out in the sun a good part of the day, taking photos from that singular vantage point! And yes, "fur baby" was on my lap, too, a good part of the time! (Ken got a shot of that one!)
