It winds along the face of a cliff
This path which I long to explore
And over it dashes a waterfall
And the air is full of the roar
And the thunderous voice of waters which sweep
In a silver torrent over some steep
It clears the path with a mighty bound
And tumbles below and away
And the trees and bushes which grow in the rocks
Are wet with its jeweled spray.
I wish you could hear the deafening noise of this waterfall, feel the spray from several feet away and really see its colossal stature. It was very impressive and powerful.
@bigmxx Thank you Michelle! I took 680 photos of the Tahoe area in two days...difficult to choose which photo to post because I loved them all! Glad you liked it!
@casablanca Visit after a good snow year for the most dramatic effect! If you look at the article I included, the falls were at a trickle in comparison to this year! Enjoy!
@redy4et Yes, I just saw your beautiful photo. We were going to go to Emerald Bay but spent so much time at the Glen Alpine Falls, we didn't make Emerald Bay on this trip. Kinda fun that we could both be there and post different photos of the beautiful lakes and falls that Tahoe has to offer. :)
While we were in the Sierras.
