Happy St. Patrick's Day!
This pink cottage, named The Tea Rose Collection, is located in Carmel By The Sea, a seaside community on California's Monterey Peninsula. This shop was built by M.J. Murphy from a design inspired by the whimsical Swedish Fairy Tale illustrations by Edmund Dulac. It is a pink confection with a miniature turret, dutch doors and tiles set into the stucco.
Carmel is an enchanting place with fairytale homes, shops, restaurants, wine rooms and galleries. Builder Hugh Comstock also created fairytale aesthetics in the 1920's. I must go back for another visit and take Sophie Belle, my teacup Schnauzer, because they are very dog friendly.
I've heard so much about Carmel but never managed to visit when in the region! I bet the place is flooded with tourists though! Nice that this photo doesn't include them! fav
