My friend, who also taught me how to do this, talked me into entering the St. Petersburg
Shell Show too. This is the third Sailor's Valentine I have made. It won the People's Choice Award by the end of the show.

@pamknowler Look them up on the internet. There is a lot of information and the history behind them. When sailors went out on ships for a long time, they got these from the natives in Barbados and brought them back to their sweethearts and wives.
