Life is only traveled once.
Today's moment becomes
tomorrow's memory.
Enjoy every moment
good or bad
because the gift of life
is life itself.

National Remembrance Day in the Netherlands (May 4)
There is so much to see and do in Amsterdam and 4 days wasn't long enough. However, we did and saw as much as we could, including a canal tour, Anne Frank House and Museum, Keukenhof, Zaanse Schans, Red-Light District, walking everywhere and a day trip to Bruges, Belgium. Two in our group were also lucky to see the Vermeer exhibit and we experienced Remembrance Day. Couldn't stay long enough to see it all but wish I could have. Maybe another time...
it was fun to see all the people on bikes. I almost got hit a few times forgetting to look both ways before crossing the bike lanes. They ride with purpose, fast and fearlessly.
I almost got left behind on two different tours but luckily, my group was looking out for me. I said I needed a harness and leash to keep track of me but I was off taking photos! :)
We were told that fries were not really French Fries but the French take credit for everything good. Fries actually came from Belgium. (I am just the messenger). We also tried waffles and Dutch pancakes. Yum!
