A bit of ying and yang going on here. I am finding it really difficult to capture floating bubbles...any suggestion or hints would be greatly appreciated!
(Better on black)
Great job with this yang and yang look! It's soooo hard. I remember trying to do the same and the focus was driving me insane. What I did was set my camera so that it would take a photo on its own every few seconds (if the camera doesn't have that setting, there are some inferred apps on your phone that can trigger your camera). Then I would set the focus and try to blow the bubbles into the camera's range of focus. It still took many, many attempts. Maybe others have some handy tips too.
@cjphoto Thanks..I'll check that out on my camera and apps..I tried it with multiple shooting and still, this was really tough...someone also suggested adding glycerin to the bubbles to make them last longer. At least I got this...I'm counting it as grand success compared to all the other frames! lol!!
Great idea not sure with the bubbles you could try a higher f stop to increase the depth of field an manual focus...I imagine it would still be very trial and error
@yrhenwr David, you give me way too much credit suggesting I might compose it differently...I was thrilled to catch anything after all the blank exposures...
@rjb71 Thanks, Richard...I had set the camera to A-Servo (Canon) hoping it would refocus on moving object...haha on that one! Thanks for your suggestion...I may try this again and will keep the increased DoF in mind.
