Which Cheese ? It must be Lancashire !

A great choice of different cheeses to buy in Garstang Indoor Market from this rich cheese making area. This weekend we have friends staying over to see Brian & Lesley visiting from NZ & we went to buy cheese from the market !
Can't beat a good cheese. I like mine more on the mild side

Oh that looks so delicious.... I just love English cheeses ( though Canadian ones are good too). I grew up in Leicestershire eating Red Leicester, white and blue Stilton.

Now if you post the cheese stall from Preston Market one day you'll set me off again - in fact the tripe stall next door would be great too! Can't beat a bit of tasty Lancashire - in fact (for vast amounts of money) you can buy a Lancashire Bomb on Cambridge market. It's covered in muslin and black wax and takes a lot of getting into but the cheese is excellent - don't know if they sell them in Lancashire or if they are just exported to desperate ex-pats!

@judithg I haven't been to Preston Market for years Judith & I haven't seen a piece of tripe either thank goodness ! You can definatly buy a Lancashire bomb at most cheese places but I have never tasted nor bought one ! Next time I go to Preston I will take a picture of the cheese stall specially for you !!

Oh my, how to choose just one?

@happypat Oh I'm glad the bomb isn't just an invention of our cheese man! Don't know if the effort of getting into it would be worth it if you can just buy a nice slice. I'm assuming the cheese and tripe stalls are still there - they always had the longest queues!!!

I've always gone for the stronger cheeses. This looks like an excellent selection.
