The Grapes, Hexham. by happypat

The Grapes, Hexham.

I loved the look of this old pub down a side street in Hexham Nothumberland & I have tried to find out a little bit about it's history but without success.
It just seems to be the run of the mill bar & large screen TV for football which seems a shame somehow because it is obviously quite an old building.
An old building with beautiful details. Is that etched glass on the windows? How lovely.

Fantastic pov and composition, Pat!! It's so wonderful to see your beautiful architecture ... it's a feast for my eyes. I love everything about England and appreciate your preservation of history.

Nice shot Pat. I do like Hexham, it's one of the 'remote' townships, in my book, but I'm sure the local populace don't think so! The castle's a favourite.

It looks more like shops than an hotel! Beautiful exterior! Can't find out its history either!

Well they won't be able to change the name which is good anyway. Shame it doesn't have as much character inside - the Northumbrian ones we went in we're pretty traditional.

It's so nice to see the building still being used for what it was intended. Nice shot.

Great shot Pat! Lovely old building, love the roofline! I've just been looking for some history and I can't find anything either. However, I do know that a flat up top goes for 140,000.
