I have been clearing the office out this morning & had lots of papers to burn so we had a bonfire with some hedge cuttings. Not much breeze so a good day although we were a little worried the sparks might fly onto the dry thatched roof across
I played about with infrared here & rather liked the effect it gave.
You can just see Tui & Henry behind the tree beating a hasty retreat..
Thats some bonfire!! Enormous, lots of papers then!! I put mine on the woodburner the other day, the trouble with living in the centre of a village is someone always has their washing out!! they are banned until after 6pm!! Love the framing and b&w
@fannyb No not that much paper Fanny mostly branches but that pile of wood had been sitting there for months so was glad to see the back of it !! No one likes smoke nowadays do they?
This just gave me the idea to burn in the fireplace a box full of papers that has been waiting for six years to be taken to the document shredding place. That and a bit of kindling will make for a nice toasty fire as soon as the weather turns. Pity we are not allowed to set fires outdoors around here because that sounds a lot more fun!
Love the infrared processing for this, Pat. Yes, it does give it that Autumn feel ... great candid capture. Reminds me of all the paperwork that we need to "shred" ... builds up so fast, doesn't it. Even with everything on computers today, we still get tons of paperwork to deal with. :)
Used to be allowed fires but its a no no now - plenty of recycled centers - you just have to rip some of the private ones up! The white ground is beautiful with the trees!
Hope the thatched is still intact, Its good to be able to have a bonfire it is getting so it is not allowed,in some places ,I like the effect you have on this
wonderful shot pat, i really love infra red , it really works well with foilage, love the smoke drifting across the frame....adds great mood to the shot..a fave too Pat
