Spot the farmer!

A day out yesterday at the Westmoreland show near Kendal in Cumbria.
The weather was not at it's best & we all got pretty soaked but they are made of hardy stock in Cumbria & it didn't deter the crowds from pouring into the showground.
This is taken on a hill over looking the main showground & is were all the vintage tractors are.
We had a very enjoyable day seeing lots of people we knew & we didn't get stuck in the mud on the way out of the car park!! Was hoping to meet up briefly with @ellida but he hasn't been posting lately so perhaps he is on his travels.

Can the sharp eyed of you spot Harry? Might be better looking large!
Hills&hills all over!!:))))

In the bar?!!! People are wonderful at turning out in all weathers, what a shame reminds me of many a soggy point to point with the poor farmer pulling the cars out of the car park!! Obviously a very social event for you two!

Glorious setting. They wouldn't do anything in Cumbria if they were bothered about rain. Do they do fell-running here or is that just Grasmere? Monty and I went to the Fenland show and left just as rain of apocalyptic proportions started to fall - it flooded the shops in town and brought down half of the library roof. I did feel sorry for everybody but I was glad to have got safely off the field!

@snowy It was Diana a bit of rain doesn't stop us & by golly we should be used to it now shouldn't we?

@judithg No the fell running is in Grasmere Judith. That sounds a very drastic calamity to hit the library Judith, what will people do with no books to read ? There were hundreds of dogs at the show of all shapes & sizes all looking rather bedraggled.

@happypat People were rescuing the books as they were evacuated! I think it may have been the ceiling tiles that came down (water getting through the roof?). It's a new library that cost a fortune and over-ran by forever in the build. The flashy new shopping centre apparently had torrents of water running down John Lewis's walls - it rained VERY hard but questions are being asked.

My new Son-in-law, comes from a farming family and he adores tractors. A wonderful rural scene Pat, and there's no such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate clothing :))

What a crowd. Well captured

That really attracts quite the crowd Pat. Too bad the weather wasn't more cooperative, but I'm sure you still enjoyed the day.
