The summit.

A glorious afternoon for a walk to the top of Beacon Fell.
Harry was watching the Grand Prix so I took myself off for a good walk with the camera.
It was good to have time to myself, it has been so busy this past two months with B&B but all much quieter now until we go away.

Three good things:
1. A friend to sit next to in church this morning.
2. I can get in the new freezer without holding the lid open with my head!!
3. Listening to Jack play Reverie by Debussy on the piano when I called in on my way home.
Your photograph is stunning, it looks a lovely place to get away from it all. I managed a short walk in the woods today it is nice to get a bit of fresh air

What incredibly different weather we've had today! A great expansive shot. I laughed at your number 2. I guess it's good for the hair style then as well.

Love that sliver of hill catching the light and the deep shadow beneath, that would be British blue sky above??!!!!

Oh love this Pat - your composition is perfect. I'm loving that little tree as well. Can't believe the sky you've got - we've definitely swapped weather today - absolutely horrible here. Love your three good things as well!

this is lovely pat, the ppl on top of the brow / hill are perfectly placed.

I know you are a big letterbox fan and it is really easy to overdue them....but this really does shout letterbox to me.....a crop above the cloud and it has an even bigger impact :)

One always needs "me" time and what a glorious view to go with it :) Lovely shot.
November 4th, 2012
nice shot, love the sky.
November 4th, 2012
@phil_howcroft I did toy with the idea of cropping the sky out as I do love a letterbox but I thought it gave more feeling of space & height with the sky left in....I don't know! Shan't try it now as am bored with it already!!!

One can never get enough blue sky! Stunning lighting, I wonder what made the huge shadow in the foreground? And your composition is spectacular!! Well done!

@bpaquette There was a large wood I walked through Barbara & this is the shadow of that behind me.
