I took my camera to the farm shop when I went for some bacon, thought I might be able to zoom in & get some candid shots!
It didn't work out because everyone was in the Christmas decoration department all milling about so in the end my new lens was no good.
Managed to get a bit of DOF in the outside bit but you know me, I have to be desperate to photo a flower so this is what you get!!!
We are having visitors until Monday so I can't very well sit at the computer as much as I would like plus we are out 3 nights in a row so will probably be very lax on the commenting side....sorry.
Three good things:
1. I had a treatment voucher at a spa for my birthday so rang up to redeem it yesterday but the number didn't exist! I called in today & all is well & not gone into liquidation!!!
2. Looking forward to no cooking for three whole days though they will want a cooked breakfast but can do that with my eyes closed!
3. Thick honey.
Well the stores are really busy here in the States on this day too, being Black Friday, so I will not even attempt to go out shopping. This one turned out nice
@happypat We have a tradition here in the States that actually begins late evening on Thanksgiving and goes into Friday where stores have tremendous bargains, and people come out of the woodwork to do their early Christmas shopping. It is crazy. It grew out of the time in history when the market crashed and they used the day after Thanksgiving to regain some of their losses fianancially. I have attached a little explanation. http://www.answers.com/topic/black-friday
@digitalrn Well that is so interesting Rick, I have never heard of the term before but all makes sense!!! i ca see why you would want to stay out of the shops unless you really needed as bargain ! I am sure others will be interested to read your article too, thank you.
Funny, I hadn't heard of Black Friday until this year either. That's 365 for you. This is a lovely shot with great dof giving you that white background to pop thise red berries out of.
How funny i thought I must be the only one who never heard of black Friday....hurrah for Google! Enjoy your 3 days, I have the family for the weekend, no rest for the wicked!! Love your berries!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
seems like you have a busy schedule...i know how that is. I have only a few precious minutes to comment before work comes calling....but this is pretty. You don't like flowers? I love!
Beautiful shot with that new lens, Pat! Such a gorgeous pop of red and the focus is wonderful. Good for you for even posting when life gets so busy...you can always catch up with comments later. Is this your last group of B&B guests until after your holiday trip to NZ? I know you will enjoy the break. :)
