Oil Cans. by happypat

Oil Cans.

A very hurried upload today as I have been out most of the day.

These oil cans were in the Classic Cafe vintage car museum in Hamilton.
A bit of reflection in there but thought they made quite a striking collection.

Three good things:
1. A chat to a friend at church who has been in Australia for 10 weeks so lots to talk about.
2. Harry had tea half made tonight when I got in.
3. The snow has gone so I can get my car out of the drive...rear wheel drive cars do not like the ice & snow!!!!!!
Very colourful too!

Oh yes - you couldn't have walked past these Pat! I must admit I avoided rear wheel drive after watching the carnage as they went (or rather didn't go) from the gritted to the ungritted half of our road one winter!

Quite the collection on hand there.

Lovely colors and lovely lettering on the cans. I grew up driving rear-wheel drive in snow and ice, and my reactions are geared for that rather than the front wheel I have now. Thank goodness for anti-lock brakes.

What a fun and colorful collection. You know, Pat, I think the reflection actually is part of the story. It lets the viewer know this is in a storefront, that the photographer was passing by and intrigued by it . . .
Question about "tea" - is this an afternoon snack, a meal or what? And eggs and chips? I think I would love to come for tea!

You don't see those kinds of things too often in 365! Nice and original picture!

@barbsmith Well never know what to call our evening meal, I usually call it supper as tea in UK is usually cakes etc. Dinner sounds too grand for just the two of us so I suppose dinner when we have company & supper on our own. Not sure why I called it tea here!! Come for supper anytime!!

Marvelous and colorful collection of retro oil cans. So nice that Harry is handy in the kitchen. I think I would faint from surprise if Tom got supper started while I was out. :)

That is quite the collection! Nicely captured in a difficult spot behind glass.

I do like the oil cans. Too nice for oil. Love the variety of colour in the humble oil can.
