House number 2. by happypat

House number 2.

This used to be the double garage belonging to yesterdays house. When the couple next door moved in the family converted this into a one room bungalow for parents. You can just see yesterdays house on the left.
It is really nice inside.... all open plan & wood floors, white walls & beams etc. A dressing room, large double shower just ideal for a couple. They have an apartment in Spain which the whole family use so perfect all round & mum helps with the children.
This is my calanetics family.

Three good things:
1. A thrilling final to the golf last night...I stayed up til 1am watching. Amazing sight of loads of matching green & white umbrellas!!!
2. Changed my camera to the correct time at last.
3. Jazz FM.
Lovely house no. 2. Good to see you have a blue sky and sunshine

Interesting to follow your progress through the village.

Oh how cool - don't tell my mum and dad - they'll be wondering why I couldn't convert them somewhere trendy (too late now we've demolished the garage!)

House number two looks lovely too. Love the blue sky.
I am not a golfer but do like to watch it on tv. Great final.

What a contrast this is to No. 1! My daughter wishes we lived next door, or even in the same town. Extended family can be such a help to young families. Problem is, we gave them roots and wings - and off they went!

Do we get to vote for our favourite at the end of this series? I like the white one better than this. Jazz fm. Yes good choice! I even got my guitar out two nights in a row... commenting suffering...

@fueast Yes great idea Alison but I won't say to our neighbours whose won....they are all completely different.

Interesting brick building - must be great to have parents if you so desire. I'm like you, Pat and @barbsmith Barb - the sure had wings and flew away! Our youngest (42) has settled in Belize of all places!

@maggiemae Trouble is we use all our money up going to visit!!!!
April 15th, 2013
So different in House No 1 - but very convenient family set-up!
April 15th, 2013
Nice looking house!! I like the brick and arched windows.

@maggiemae I'm not sure where you are but I have 2 - we are in Michigan and one moved to Colorado and one to Wyoming. Yes, they are beautiful places to visit but oh so far. But Belize - now that's far!

That is so lovely! And so nice to be able to pop in without losing independence!

Such a perfect arrangement for parents...it sounds like they have all the space they need without having to keep up with a large home. After spending a weekend at the lovely new home of our daughter, Elizabeth, in Atlanta, Tom and I are ready to move into her basement. :)
