Bluebell path. by happypat

Bluebell path.

A filler from Monday but I have had no time to take a photo today.

The bluebells are out at last.

We have been to the hospital today to see our niece but I had an altercation at a roundabout.
I heard a horn blow & didn't think anything of it but as we were queueing up to get parked at the hospital I noticed this car following me all the way round for about ten minutes thinking he was looking for a car space too so I was amazed when he got out & tackled me...verbally I might add!

He said I had been in the wrong lane coming off the slip road to turn towards Preston which was the lane the sign said to be in but he was in the left lane which was the road to turn left or onto the M6 so when he came up the left hand side of me he pipped his horn as he said I shoved him into the kerb where he lost his wheel trim!

Harry was in the passenger seat & he never saw him creep up beside me...a taxi driver & they do tend to weave in & out sometimes!!

He caught me at a bad moment in the pouring rain in a hurry to see Andrea but now I'm having second thoughts...i think I might go to the police station & ask them who is right...not paying if I was not at fault!!!

Three good things:
1.A new land line telephone.
2.Some much needed rain.
3. A Granny's Day card for NZ Mothers Day which arrived today!
BEAUTIFUL photo!
What a day. Get a life I say.....if all he thinks he's lost is a wheel trim. I think he's lost the plot! Be kind to yourself about it anyway! You were doing something important! Hope Andrea is doing ok. xx

@sarah19 Thanks Sallie..I wouldn't mind but he followed me for at least two miles ...I did give him a good verbal argument , the interesting thing will be to see if he can only get one wheel trim might only be in fours....am only paying for one !!!

I will cheer you up Pat with a fav It sounds to me you was in the right Taxi Drivers can be at fault too but wont admit it
May 9th, 2013
@gerry Ah bless you Gerry !!
May 9th, 2013
@gerry Interestingly too Gerry this happened only a mile as the crow flies from the home of David Moyes , the new Manchester United manager!
May 9th, 2013
@happypat how could it be your fault Pat for the loss of his wheel trim I would not offere to pay for any
May 9th, 2013
@gerry I wish I hadn't now Gerry but he wore me down..will check at the police station!
May 9th, 2013

What a gorgeous shot! It's out of a storybook, lovely composition. Sorry to hear about your incident with the taxii driver, sounds stressful.
May 9th, 2013
This is a gorgeous shot.
And you are such a good and honest soul. I can only tell you that I have a terrible time with the few round a bouts that I have encountered. I can't imagine that it was your fault. And most especially if he was the kind of guy to track you all that time. Rest easy - and do what your heart says will give you that ease.

A lovely shot of the bluebell wood. These motorist bores do get on my nerves. I often do a bit of give and take for other drivers but so many are so belligerent and determined to assert their so-called 'rights' - mostly men I find. Good luck with getting it sorted out.
May 9th, 2013
Well if you were in the marked lane I wouldn't stump up anything! And you can ask them about harassment while you're at the police station. Nigel's just driven back from Blackburn in rain all the way only for me to say 'Hope it rains, my rhubarb's gone floppy.' Anyway it's obliging now! Haven't seen any bluebells yet so I need to get out & find some.
May 9th, 2013
This is a lovely shot. What a horribe incident. I think you should go an ask about who was right , just for your own well being. I think even if you had made a mistake- and don't we all do- there is no reason stalking you like this. I don't know what some people are up to, to do such .
May 9th, 2013
Ah the magical stile - and here are the bluebells - they are stunning!! Hope the incident gets sorted out to your favor!!
May 9th, 2013
@cdonohoue Thanks Cathy for those wise words I shall do just as you say!!

@masosy @quietpurplehaze @judithg @khirsch @bpaquette
Sorry for the mass reply but have not done any commenting yet because I have been sorting the new phone out....I must be very thick because it has taken me an age to put a few numbers in the book & record an answer phone message...technology & me don't mix...mind it would help if I read the instructions!!
I think it might help if I had a second G&T tonight!!!!! LOL !
May 9th, 2013
@gerry Oh thanks Gerry just your selves will be fine though!!!!! a lovely generous thought!!
May 9th, 2013
Lovely woodland scene. The traffic thing is very minor in the great scheme of things.
May 9th, 2013
What a silly man to follow you all that way! Don't give him a penny unless you learn that you should, though it sounds doubtful! Enjoy the g&t!
May 9th, 2013
Oops, and gorgeous shot!! :-)
May 9th, 2013

May 9th, 2013
Oh.....How very wonderful Pat! : )
May 9th, 2013
Love the bluebells. Sorry to hear about your road rage incident. Some people think they own the road and they obviously never make mistakes themselves, ever! if you did any way.
May 9th, 2013
@barrowlane Thank you Rob & I think you are allowed to change lanes on a roundabout?
May 9th, 2013
@ellida @jesperani @beryl @rach57 @jtookey150 @annbo
You have made me feel so much better thank you all so much for your comments & faves....had my little rant too!!!

4 good things - this fabulous shot. I'm sorry to hear about your altercations. Was he threatening and did he demand money? I once had someone pursue me after entering the A1 on a short slip road. It's always a difficult place to get out when it's busy. This guy followed me and when I stopped to let my friend out near her house he pulled up, got out of the car and started shouting at me. It was quite scary at the time. I locked the doors and drove away in the end and my friend didn't get out until later after we'd shaken him off. Try to forget it -it's just one of those things.
May 9th, 2013
@happypat that all sounds full on with that man! sounds like he was being a right twat to me.
May 9th, 2013
yes dont give in to him...let the police decide. Bluebells are so pretty.
May 9th, 2013
That makes such a great walking trail, and I'm sure you have many photo opps along that way
May 10th, 2013
Wow. Wonderful!

Gorgeous shot.

Horrid to follow you around - that would have really shaken me. Haven't driven for ages as we don't have a car at the mo, but I'm pretty sure if you were in a marked lane and he was coming past on your inside he's not blameless himself. I'm not sure I'd pay anything in those circs, unless I was sure I was at fault. But wise words from @cdonohoue - do whatever puts you at ease about it. Sometimes being 'right' is more trouble than its worth!
May 10th, 2013
He is one of these creeper road users that find fault with anything and anyone. Smile and send him a kiss, Pat - he will probably get madder!
May 10th, 2013
@jewelsandbinoculars Thank you for the encouragement & sensible words!!
May 10th, 2013
@maggiemae If only maggiemae...I felt like a criminal!!
May 10th, 2013
@rach57 @tooki @digitalrn @netkonnexion Thank you all for the wonderful comments & interest!
May 10th, 2013
@busylady Some men own the road !!!!! Does shake you up though Judith doesn't it? !
May 10th, 2013
Lovely shot, story about the hub and all.
May 10th, 2013
A really beautiful picture of the bluebells, the ones in the woods just near by are only just coming out. Sorry to hear about your nasty experience Pat. Also hope Andrea gets well soon
May 10th, 2013
it looks a wonderful place to walk Pat.....don't be bullied by some road rage fool !
May 10th, 2013
Love the picture Mum. So sorry to hear what happened at the roundabout. What an odd little man! Hope you are ok. Big hug x x x
May 10th, 2013
What a great spring photo. I love the curving path and curving line of bluebells. Well done - and sorry to hear about your episode. Some people are born rude - they can't help it!
May 11th, 2013
What a beautiful shot. Love the slope down from the style and the little stream. A great composition and wonderful bluebell shot. Fav.
Sympathies on the road thing.
May 11th, 2013
Simply beautiful, Pat. I like that you've captured the stile at the top of the path too.
May 11th, 2013
Beautiful photo, horrendous story. I hope your niece is on the mend. Don't give the taxi driver one penny.
May 13th, 2013
Beautiful shot-- sorry to hear about the rough day.
May 13th, 2013
Simply beautiful!! If I had magical places like this to walk, I'd be logging 25 miles a day. This looks like a scene from a storybook. I love it!
May 13th, 2013
What a beautiful path, Pat. Your capture makes me want to take a sroll. Yikes - what a day you had.
May 13th, 2013
beautiful scene to calm your spirit after your experience
May 14th, 2013
great bluebell woods shot - I need to find some time to get to my Mum's there is a great wood there...think they may all be gone by the time I've got a free weekend! Ah, I see your hubcap problem...always a tricky one...I'm amazed I haven't had prangs on roundabouts - always people where you are not expecting them...and others who think that even though it's called a roundabout want to go straight across instead!
May 16th, 2013
@sparkle It was the following I didn't like Juliette!!
