A day in the garden, not working I might add just sitting & reading my book.
I am reading The Catcher in the Rye.....I am ashamed to say it's the first time I've read it although I have a selection of well loved books in all the bedrooms thinking guests can dip in & out of them while they are staying.
Enjoying it very much & the first proper book I have read for must be about two years, as opposed to my Kindle I mean!
A lovely warm day so although I have ironing to do I chose to sit & do nothing!
Three good things:
1. A lazy day doing nothing much!
2. New potatoes with butter.
3. Reading , one of my greatest pleasures!
Sounds like a good idea - I must take a leaf out of your book. Pardon the pun. Trouble is I just can't stop - always have to be busy, then I pay for it.
@busylady I used to be like that judith & Harry was even worse feeling guilty whenever we weren't working...not any more, we worked hard seven days a week 365 days a year so now we try to relax when we can ,,,,still have B&B in tonight so them to see to of course.
I am still planning to do exactly that! In my case, by the warm fire in a comfy armchair. I've been planning for some years actually - still have to do it! I've got the time but 365 is rather involving and I always think of something that I have forgotten to do so have to do it! Lovely corner of this garden!
"Sure beats ironing" - is what my Mom says about any unpleasant task! So now you know where ironing is on HER list! And I believe it is genetic. I hope you had a snooze, too! I love your container gardening...
Looks perfect - love sitting and reading. I've got back into real books since joining the library (nominally for L). Before then I was kindle all the way too.
@judithg We got these free as when the chairs arrived they had a slight split in the wood but four years later they are no worse! Look very nice & just slot over the backs...make a great difference to the comfort!
Too nice to be anywhere but outside today...I can iron sheets when it's raining!!
