My last visit to Blackpool for a few weeks...I always stay away when the school holidays are on, nowhere to park & so busy!!
A few families with children waiting for the tide to go out & this little lad was getting well smeared with sun tan lotion.
Three good things:
1. The imminent arrival of a new Royal baby...no news at the moment but must be any time now!!
2. No hosepipe ban yet!
3. I bought a large catering box of Tunnocks teacakes to keep in the fridge...delicious! Funnily enough when Harry opened them someone had been through the top pop up bit & taken one out!!!
A lovely family shot. I would love to run into the see right now and cool down. What a shame you can't enjoy the beach for a few weeks. Hopefully this lovely weather will bring a lot of business to the town.
How outrageous - 'somebody' stealing your Tunnocks! I'm still not sure suncream is all he needs to be safe in Blackpool's sea.... Could be a while waiting for the baby yet - I'm hoping she'll wait for after midnight (not that Rachel could care less about sharing her birthday with an heir to the throne!)
Great shot! Factor 50 was out here on Saturday when Allan and Jonathan went off on the bikes. Can't be too careful about that!
What a cheek someone had with the Tunnocks teacakes! Enjoy the rest anyway!! We had their chocolate caramel wafers this weekend ....mmmm!
Fabulous summer shot and sounds as if you and I have some qualities in common besides our cameras...don't know what Tunnocks are, but I'm sure I would have had to try them out
@sarah19@jgpittenger Tunnocks are divine aren't they Sallie specially out of the fridge!! A layer of biscuit with a dome of marshmallow covered in chocolate Jane.
We just call them chocolate marshmallow biscuits, tunnocks sound more original! I'm typing this now when the royal news has come out! This sea looks lovely to swim in!
I like your no.3!! Gosh the beach nearly disappears at Blackpool at hight tide?! We do the same here, hibernate during the school hols. Nice happy shot.
@phil_howcroft Well it's a lot cleaner than it used to be Phil but no blue flag yet by a long way....I wouldn't swim in it but would paddle but there again would I go in any cold water sea in Britain ...doubt it, I am used to hot pools in NZ so gone soft!!!
@phil_howcroft Ps Very safe beach though, no currents buy quite a few people drown here every year but as it is always a very high tide right up to the walls drowning is always by waves sweeping people in...they get too close usually by fooling around drunk!
I'm keeping the news on waiting for word of the baby's arrival......

Looks like a lovely place to relax.
