Harry the hen boy retrieved this bike out of the skip, some people throw anything away!
Three good things:
1. A wet afternoon spent on the back seat of the cinema with a Ben & Jerry's hot chocolate.
2. Looking forward to a day out tomorrow at the Westmoreland Show.
3. Quick visit tonight from Cathy & Lydia on their way to callanetics.
The bike looks like a great find. Our eldest son's first bike came from a friend who had rescued it from the tip. It was then painted up for our other two children. A great little bike. Glad to hear all is safely gathered in.
Excellent - and an excellent bit of re-cycling - boom boom! Number 1 sounds just the job though I think I might dose off today - anything good? I fancy going to see 'Rush'.
@judithg I should have gone to see Rush but chose' About Time' the latest Richard Curtis film with Bill Nighy. Rather stilted dialogue I thought but harmless enough if a bit odd. the songs were the best though some lovely music & it whiled away an afternoon very pleasantly.
Can't believe this throwaway society - it is too much trouble to repair then sell something! Callanetics sound very interesting, I had to google it. I will investigate more for my deep muscle power!
Lovely composition. Fav! The bike really shows the scale and adds interest to your shot. I love the little window/air slots at the top. I have to ask about "Harry the hen boy" though ...who? what? why? :)
Uh oh - when we find a bike thrown out - when it is as nice as this - it is usually stolen!!! What a lovely harvest. Interesting non-sequitur subjects.
What a great feeling to have the wheat off of the fields and in storage.
Congratulations to whoever has this done!
The bike gives a sense of how much wheat is there - a great marker for proportion.
A great composition. How good it must be to have all the wheat store.
I went to see 'About time' but didn't enjoy it. It is what our family call a wet Sunday afternoon film.
@jtookey150 I agree Jean, I had high hopes after the reviews in the papers although it had poor reviews on the cinema website so wasn't surprised....an OK film.
Congratulations to whoever has this done!
